MONTREAL — What do Brit rock’n’roller Mick Jagger and a former construction magnate accused of corruption, fraud and income tax evasion have in common?
A luxury yacht called the Touch.
Infamous in Quebec, the Touch featured in Tony Accurso’s tax-evasion case in 2010, which hinged on the construction magnate’s yacht.
The former construction boss has been testifying at the Charbonneau Commission.
Although there were no major revelations on Thursday during Accurso’s third day on the stand at Quebec’s public inquiry into corruption in the province’s construction industry, Accurso did share one interesting tidbit.
In an aside, he divulged that Jagger once vacationed on his yacht as an invited guest, causing a storm of reaction on social media.
